Avery Binder, Spine Inserts and Note Tabs Review

Shoplet Office Supplies recently sent me some items to review and tell you about.  Most of you know that I do office work for a living and I am always looking for tools to make my job easier.  Shoplet provides a wide range of office supplies, including Avery products (which I love).

For this review I received the following items:

Avery EZD Heavy-Duty Reference View Binder (SKU #AVE79795
Avery Custom Binder Spine Inserts (SKU #AVE89105)
Avery Note Tabs (SKU #AVE16323)

I use binders for just about everything, both at home and at the office.  At the office we use them for client paperwork (every client gets a separate binder).  At home I use them to keep projects separated.  I keep binders for craft projects, computer information, recipes and pretty much anything that has a lot of paperwork attached to it.  For this review I made a new binder for a family tree project I am working on.  I punched all the reference material and copies of photos, added them to the new Avery EZD Heavy Reference View Binder and created a custom spine insert.  I also used the Avery Note Tabs to mark my spot in some particular areas I am researching.

The Avery EZD Heavy-Duty Reference View Binder is an especially nice binder because it is durable and easy to open.  I just hate it when the papers get hung up in the little gaps between binder rings.  You don’t get that with this binder.  It opens in a snap with just one hand by pressing the lever at the bottom.  The rings close tight with no gaps and the pages turn easily even when it is completely full.  This binder is made of heavy plastic and built to last.  It won’t rip near the spine over time like so many of those flimsy binders do. I also really liked the way they put 3 layers of pockets on the inside cover as well as the front insert pocket for a cover.

The Avery Custom Spine Inserts are great.   I’ve never used printable spine inserts before and instead print to paper or card stock that I have to cut and fit in the spine.  These so much faster and easier to use that I’m definitely sold on them.  I just went to the Avery site (as per the instructions in the package), downloaded the MS Word template and had them printed in a few minutes.  They were so much more professional looking than my normal method.  If you don’t use MS Word then Avery offers a whole bunch of other templates on their site as well.  You don’t have to have any special program to use them.  You can see by my photo how much nicer it looks next to my other two binders (with no insert at all).  It is inspiring me to organize my home office soon!

The Note Tabs were equally impressive.  I love that they are clear and they don’t cover up the text when you stick them on the paperwork.  They work great for marking sections in the binder that don’t require a whole separate divider.  The index portion is heavy duty and doesn’t bend or tear.  They are a perfect bookmarking tool!  It is kind of hard to see in the photo (because the sticky part is so clear), but the note tab is the blue part.

You can’t go wrong with these Avery products and I highly recommend them and I highly recommend you check out Shoplet for your office needs as well.

Shoplet sent me an Avery Binder, Custom Spine Inserts and Note Tabs to use for this review. No Monetary compensation was received and these opinions are my own.
