Coupon Acronyms

  • AC – After Coupon (the price after coupons are scanned)

  • AR – After Rebate

  • B1G1F – Buy One Product and get another one free.

  • Blinkie – Coupons found near products in the red plastic dispensers that blink

  • BTFE – Box Tops for Education (School reward program)

  • CATALINA or CAT – Coupons printed on receipt-like paper at the cash register.   Usually treated as manufacturer’s coupon and good only at the store where you received them.

  • CLFE – Campbell’s Labels for Education (School reward program)

  • CNP – Coupon Near Product (usually stuck on the shelf or display)

  • CRT – Cash Register Tape

  • DND – Do not Double (means the coupon will not automatically double)

  • ECB – Extra Care Bucks (CVS Coupons)

  • FAR – Free After Rebate

  • GDA – Good Deal Alert

  • GC – Gift Card

  • GM – General Mills

  • HT – Hang Tag (coupon is hanging on the product)

  • HTH – Hope (sometimes happy) To help

  • IP or IPQ – Internet Printable Coupon

  • ISO – In Search Of

  • IVDSO – In Very Desperate Search Of

  • IVC – Walgreens Instant Value Coupon (from their monthly coupon book)

  • MFR – Manufacturer

  • MIR – Mail In Rebate

  • MRP – Manufacturer’s Retail Price

  • NED – No Expiration Date

  • NFN – No Form Needed

  • OAS – On any Size

  • OOP – Out of Pocket

  • OOS – Out of Stock

  • OYNO – On Your Next Order

  • P&G or PG – Procter Gamble

  • Peelie – Coupon that is stuck to product and peels off

  • POP – Proof of Purchase

  • RIB – Reinventing Beauty Magazine (found at CVS)

  • RP – Red Plum (company that distributes Sunday Insert Coupons)

  • RR – Register Rewards (Walgreens Coupon Rewards)

  • Q – Coupon

  • SCO – Self Check Out

  • SMP – Specially Marked Package

  • SS – Smart Source (company that distributes Sunday insert coupons)

  • TMF – Try Me Free

  • TP – Tear Pad (pad of coupons near product)

  • WT – Wine Tag (coupon or offer that hangs on wine bottle)

  • WSL – While Supplies Last

  • WYB – When You Buy

  • YMMV – Your Mileage May Vary (means it might be different at your store)
