Escapes, Music for Relaxing Review and Giveaway

A few weeks ago I received a really nice Relaxation CD called “Escapes” from Musician and composer Jeff Gold.   It consists of 60 minutes of acoustic guitars, piano, strings and flutes, healing tunes designed to promote relaxation and well being.

California native Jeff Gold is a composer/musician who creates imagery through music, images that are emotional and melodic, restorative and uplifting. He composes soulful relaxing instrumentals which have received the attention of wellness centers and spa owners who want to offer this method of relaxation to their clients.

Jeff’s music also has developed a large following of parents to Special Needs Children.  His soothing melodies have been shown to provide a calming mechanism for children with Autism and Anxiety.  You will find a number of Testimonials on his Website promoting the music’s effectiveness as a form of music therapy.

Jeff has also teamed up with hypnotherapist, Janet Montgomery to produce seven guided imagery CD’s for “The Live Well Series.” Topics include sleeping soundly, stress management, and coping with cancer treatment.

First let me say that I have a lot of relaxation music.  I live a pretty rushed life (which is why I named my blog “Dashing for Deals”).   My day is often filled with stress and anxiety, especially when it concerns my job.  It is often difficult for me to clear my head and calm down.  This makes it very difficult for me to fall asleep and I often listen to guided relaxation, nature sounds and music to assist me.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.  This CD is on my top 3 lists of things that work!  It is just soothing enough to relax me, but inspiring enough to keep me focused on it instead of stressful and distracting thoughts.  I also found the music to be helpful to keep in the background while working at the computer.  It did a great job of keeping me focused on the task at hand and even helped to inspire my thoughts a little bit.

Jeff Gold has released two instrumental CD’s, “Soul of a Mountain” in 2006, and “Escapes – Music for Relaxing” in 2009.   Both CD’s are available on Amazon.com or his Website and both sites provide samples for you to review.   Right now you can get a 25% discount on any CD purchased directly through the Website by using the code:  RELAX.

Jeff Gold has very generously offered to provide a CD to two of my readers:
