L’Occitane Anti-Aging Skincare (review)

I was recently asked to take a look at some of the anti-aging skincare products offered through L’Occitane’s Website and talk about what I found there.  First, I’d like to tell you just a little bit about who L’Occitane is and the best way to do that is to quote the True Stories section on their Website:

Inspired by his childhood in Provence, the 23-year-old Olivier Baussan decided to recreate the traditions of his region. After purchasing a steam distiller, a relic from the past, Olivier harvested wild rosemary and produced pure Rosemary essential oil. He sold this essential oil at local markets, this all-natural product was quickly embraced by villagers and L’OCCITANE was born.

Every year, Olivier seeks out traditional techniques and ingredients once used in the region to ensure the well-being of the body, mind and spirit. The results of these efforts are embodied in L’OCCITANE’s annual Harvest collections, Shea Butter range, Aromachologie products and Immortelle skincare.

I decided to take their Skincare Diagnosis to find what products would work best for me and was presented with the Precious Immortelle Line as a  solution.  After doing a little research, I learned that Immortelle is actually a flower that retains form and color when dried.   L’Occitane has actually put in over 10 years of research towards the anti-aging/ anti-wrinkle properties of the oils this flower provides.  They’ve learned to extract this precious oil and include it in an entire anti-aging solution for the face, including cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, eye/lip care, scrubs/masks.

Here is an introduction to just a few of products from the Precious Immortelle Line:

Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam (one of their best sellers)

Lighten the complexion with this gentle face cleanser, enriched with Immortelle floral water and citrus fruit peel. Clinical testing of this product over a 3 week period showed an improvement in the evenness and radiance of skin.

Immortelle Precious Essential Face Water

The Immortelle Precious Essential Face Water is a toner with anti-aging benefits. Formulated with Immortelle floral water, it removes traces of make-up and impurities and supports the anti-aging process. This alcohol free toner is enriched with agents that moisturize the upper layers of the epidermis. Toning Green Tea extract and firming Centella Asiatica are also featured in this refreshing and firming face water.

Immortelle Precious Cream – New Formulation

L’OCCITANE has improved the Precious Cream formulation by developing a new Immortelle cell extract for which a second patent was received. The new extract boosts the natural occurring mechanisms that aid your skin’s ability to correct deep wrinkles and maintain elasticity and smoothness. Applying this rich and luxurious cream results in visibility firmer and smoother skin with less lines. Ruscus and Holly extracts also help lighten dark areas and relieve puffiness.
In a test, 87% of women saw instantly smoother skin*.
* Reported by 53 women during a four week trial.

Now, I have not personally tried these L’Occitane products myself, but can say that they look wonderful.  There are quite a few positive testimonials on them as well!

L’Occitane offers free standard shipping on all orders of $80 or more and will even include free samples with each shipment.  I would encourage you to check out their website and learn about the many beneficial  products they have available.
