Netflix Class Action Settlement

Netflix 2012 Class Action Settlement

It appears that Netflix customers (past and present) may be entitled to compensation in response to a proposed settlement regarding customer privacy issues.  They have been ordered to pay 9 million dollars in fees.  You are automatically included in the Settlement just by being a previous Netflix Customer, but they do offer the option of “excluding” yourself so that you could take individual action I suppose.  I attached a small blurb about the Class Action and you can read more details here.  *Folks.. do me a favor and please click the link if you need more information.  I do not work for these companies and have no real affiliation with them.  So many of you email ME for rebates, freebies and things such as this.  I only post the links and there is little I can do to help you.

“A Settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit that claims Netflix unlawfully kept and disclosed information, including records on the movies and TV shows its customers viewed. Netflix denies that it has done anything wrong.”

  1. False. The settlement fund will be given to non-profit organizations and the lawyers will take a cut, which may be quite substantial. You and other Netflix subscribers will get absolutely nothing.
