Shoplet’s Sanford Writing Pens Review

Hello everyone. I have another Shoplet.com product offering to tell you about. Just a quick overview for those who don’t follow regularly:  Shoplet is a full service office supply company with products for nearly all types of home and business office supply needs.

For this review I received a package containing the following Sanford Writing Products:

Paper Mate InkJoy 700 RT Ballpoint Pen – This Ballpoint Pen features the Paper Mate Ink Joy Technology, which is a specially formulated low viscocity ink and writing tip designed to give a smooth flow when writing.  This package contains 2 black, 1 blue and 1 red medium point retractable pens (it is also available in fine and bold point).  What I like most about this pen is that it is comfortable to hold and to write with for long periods of time.  It has a nice rubbery grip near the bottom to give you a firm hold and you hardly have to put any pressure on it at all.  The ink comes out in a nice even flow and doesn’t glob or smear.  These features helped my handwriting look a lot neater than it normally looks.

Sharpie Premium Pen  – This was my favorite item in the review package.  It is made out of stainless steal and has a metal clip on it and I really like that it is refillable.  Unlike most permanent markers, this one did not bleed through the paper.  I used it to write on CDs and file folder labels with excellent, quick drying results.  It didn’t skip at all when I used it to write over white-out (something I commonly have trouble with).  There is only one feature that I did not care for about this pen and that was the fact that I found the cap a little difficult to take off.

Sharpie Gel Highlighter  –  This is a really innovative product!  The highlighers are short and oval shaped and come in pink, yellow and orange color.  They are really different than other highlighters because they are made of some sort of waxy gel.  It reminded me of writing with a crayon, but I did like it.  I was able to highlight magazine pages with no smearing and even better – I was able to highlight a freshly printed page (from my inkjet printer) with no smearing (that is pretty unusual).  They have a unique twist button on the top, which allows you to extend the length of the gel stick.  Another very nice feature is that you can actually leave the cap off these things and they won’t try out.

All three items were really great products and contained some new and innovative features that I’ve never noticed in other writing instruments.  Then ballpoint pens performed as well as the expensive gift pens you see in the stationary shops, the permanent marker was not only stylish, but can actually be used in lieu of a regular pen due to the fact that it doesn’t bleed through the paper and the smear free, not dry-out factor of the highlighters made them very different.  I was very happy with them.

I received a package of writing instruments for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received and all options are my own. You can read my Disclosure Statement here.
